Which Is Better – Intensive Courses or Weekly Lessons?
Traditional “Weekly Lessons” are the longest route to passing your driving test. Recent government figures show that the average learner driver has 52 hours of lessons and will take approximately 14 months to pass the test. The reason why having weekly lessons takes quite a long time is largely one of human memory – in practicing your driving only 1 or 2 times per week you retain less of the information and skills learned from week to week.
With both Intensive and Semi-Intensive course options, the speed at which you learn is increased because you receive more focused tuition and driving time. This saves you as the learner both time and money. A typical Intensive course takes place over 1 week, with aprx 6 hours driving per day. A semi-Intensive course is the happy medium between “Weekly Lessons” and an “Intensive” course – spreading your learning time over 2 to 3 weeks.
